H igh D efinition T ele V ision is what HDTV means. It does this by writing image lines horizontally, 525 lines in one image ( In Europe 625 ) on the screen. This may give you the best chance of picking up a good signal and is mandatory if you a re in an area where signal strength is poor such where you reside some distance away from the closest transmitter or where your signal is touched by hills or other environmental elements. Sadly , each HDTV antenna isn't alike and the standard of your picture can alter seriously depending on which antenna you select.
